The company “Moverel – Indústria de Mobiliário, Lda.” was established in 1981 by the managing partner Jorge Matias, who started the manufacture of furniture in a 450 sq.m.pavilion, situated on a land of 1500 sq.m. The company has grown in size over the years and at present its premises amount to an area of 12.000 sq.m. which include offices and “show-room” of 30.000 sq.m. Moverel is situated in a highly industrial zone in Casal do Relvas, few minute drive from the city of Leiria and 3 km away from Batalha. It was recently considered a leading SME.

The company is certified according to the Portuguese standard NP EN ISO 9002:1995 since July 2000 and is currently transitioning to the new standard NP EN ISO 9001:2008. It is the policy of Moverel, as defined in its quality policy, to provide continuous customer satisfaction, to promote team work, motivate its employees and commit to continuous improvement of the organization and its processes.  Based on the experience acquired throughout 28 years, Moverel developed on a policy of complying with high quality standards.
